In his works, Andrzej Tomaszewski shows the emotions, drives and loneliness with which humanity has been struggling for centuries. The main motif of the artist’s works is the human being, the human figure processed in a very specific way – without smooth plastic forms, with cuts, scars and other imperfections.
The artist has participated in solo and group exhibitions for years. In the 1990s, he collaborated with the magazines ‘Szpilki’ and ‘Fantastyka’. His paintings can be found in art galleries and private collections and are sold at auctions in major auction houses. He is a member of the Association of Polish Artists – Polish Applied Arts in Poznań.
The artist creates large-scale sculptures from metal. His works of art astonish not only by their size, but also by their impressive presence. The artist’s trademark is the virtuoso interplay between the natural heaviness of metal and the emotional delicacy of his works.
