– following the traces of Upper Silesian nobility …

and not only

A cyclical event, which is an integral part of the Nobility Weekend and a very attractive form of popularising historical knowledge addressed to all age groups.

The ride always goes along the route of residences or other kinds of buildings related to the Silesian aristocracy, which dr Arkadiusz Kuzio-Podrucki talks about during the stops. The tourist and recreational values of the Tarnowskie Góry district are also promoted on this occasion. The ride ends with a picnic, during which the participants can have a meal (pea-soup, grilled sausages), and since 2016 they have also drawn lots to win prizes sponsored by representatives of various companies. It is worth mentioning that our initiative was very willingly supported by the community of Nakło Śląskie and its surroundings: shops, a pharmacy, small local entrepreneurs. Such a formula of the ride – combining sport, recreation and tourism with historical education – is very popular among the inhabitants of the whole Silesia (including whole families), as evidenced by the record turnout: the number of participants exceeds 200! It also proves that the level of organisation of the event and itsattractiveness are highly appreciated.
