Maciej Durski is a visual artist working in abstract painting. In his art, he primarily explores the formal possibilities of the two-dimensional work. He places the greatest emphasis on its colour, composition and structure. In art, he is fascinated above all by the process of the formation of painting matter. Working on a painting is an act of purest artistic expression. For this reason, he never plans the final appearance of the work. The colourful patches and dynamic brushstrokes distributed on the plane become, over time, mysterious silhouettes and portraits. His creative work follows the direction of a random patch of colour, which then forms part of an almost figurative representation.

Tsintskaro is a word taken from a Georgian folk song about love from the Kakheti region, fragments of which the artist used for the soundtrack when making the video.
Like the artist’s works, the song is moving and memorable, providing an unusual background and complement, not only to the object itself, but also to Durski’s other paintings, which stay firmly and for a long time in our subconscious (and this song, which is unknown to the general public, has been noticed and also commercialised by world filmmakers, such as Werner Herzog in his film about vampires, or Kate Bush).
