Temporary exhibition 2019

Trust in painting – Forgotten spirituality

The exhibition presents the work of Professor Lech Kołodziejczyk and is part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of his creative work.

A new painting cycle started after 2015, called the METAPHYSICAL WEST OF THE SUN, includes painting works that are a clear continuation of the previous cycle THE BOOK OF THE SUN. The essence of the new cycle is the overwhelming feeling of passing away, the frailty of lasting, in which the perceptible momentary stabilization is inevitably connected with the state of fleetingness, the constant metamorphosis of what seems to be something specific and specific and expressive, and in fact it is only a brief emanation of something that in a moment will disappear forever. The inspiration here is the extremely moving and fascinating in its approach colorful and dramatic sunsets, observed in the marine landscape and in the richly colored relations of mountain spaces.
